To get Ph down can I use..?

Acid as well as quick ph changes are potentially deadly to your fish. I don't know what ph level you have though if it's 8.2 get some Lake Tanganykan fish. If it's 7.8 -7.4 get some Lake Malawi or Central American fish. The best thing you can do is not adjust the PH of your water with any form of chemical. Get some fish that will happily live in your aquarium and that way you can keep up on regular water changes which will provide a long healthy happy life. When you start messing with the ph eventually you forget or change the water too fast and kill everyone. If you absolutely have to raise or breed fish that can't live in your ph then you should buy a reverse osmosis system. Test the water before it goes through the system, test it after it exits your system and determine if you need to mix this and at what level to get the water hardness and ph you are looking for. If you need to lower the ph after you've removed the hardness then use canadian peat moss though boil and test this before begining because you want to know what acid level the batch you have is at to determine how much you want to filter through your aquarium. If you go this route you can have the ro unit put water into a 55 gallon drum and have some water movement in here that will filter through the peat moss. This way you'll have a constant supply of water at the level necessary for water changes. As mentioned from the begining, life is much easier to get fish that can live in your water. I ume based on your ph comments that you water is very hard and that's great for a wide variety of fish and I'm sure you'll find some you would love to have in your aquarium. Enjoy.

Fixing water/pet damage on hardwood floor.?

Found a very nice blond hardwood floor under my nasty carpet. Almost perfect condition except for 2 areas. One looks to be a pretty bad water stain the other a pet stain. I'm already planning on sanding the whole floor but the wood in those two ares feels really dry. I've her from a few people to just mop the floor with mineral spirits and put extra on the damaged ares. Will that be enough to "re-hydrate" the damaged areas? The Dr. I am sure put you on antibiotics for quite a few days. Take them exactly as prescribed at the same time of day. Keep on cleansing the area. I would wash it with an antibacterial soap and water before dressing it every time unless the Dr. has said otherwise. All i can say is Princeton Review's test suck. They arn't realistic. I looked at some of them this summer and there grading system and questions arn't realistic. If you a better idea of what your score is going to be besides your psat scores try getting the 8 test put out by college board, and use there online program for answer explanations and essay scoring. Wow, you are a good friend to her. The worst thing you could do is say nothing. Obviously she is not making good decisions for herself..maybe she tends to overthink things to the point where she gets confused and that leads to a bad decision. My guess on the two structures that conserve water would be the stomata and the cuticle. The stomata open and close due to varying conditions. When closed photosynthesis is essentially shut down. But water loss is decreased. The cuticle is a waxy layer on the surface of leave that prevents from evaporating to the air. Some leaves have thicker cuticles than others. There are other adaptations that can prevent water loss. One of these are dermal hairs that grow on the surface of leave to reduce air movement across the leaf surface. This can reduce water loss as well. But I would definitely go for the first two: stomata and cuticle.

What other things do suggest are the best to see in those 2 cities. When I was England in 1998 as a graduation present (with school) i visited both of those cities and loved the both. Bath has changed so much since then. It's become a shopaholics dream in some areas, which takes away from the history. I am a history buff myself. Why won't my pword work and what do I do?

I tried to log on to my computer today using the same pword I've always had and it suddenly isn't working. I don't know why. I've made sure there is no capslock on, the keyboard seems to be functioning fine. I've even tried every variation of pword I can think of just in case, even possible mistakes or typos that I could've made, which is doubtful since I've typed in this pword a million times. The weird thing is I didn't even forget my pword, it seemed to just stop working. I've restarted, unlpugged, tried to log on in Safe Mode and it just asks for my pword again. I can tell that lately somethings not quite right with me. For over a month i've been unusually tired; yawning about 5 times an hour. And its not due to a lack of sleep, i get plenty. I've also been really pale. My natural skin tone is pale, but not as pale as i have been looking lately, alot of people have noticed it too. And its not due to a lack of sun, i'm always sure to get my daily dose of sun. I have bags under my eyes, which look just a little red. Should I keep my piano tutor?

I taught myself piano onto grade four, so my parents decided I should get a teacher. I have had my teacher since September, and I really haven't improved at all. With my teacher, there is really no motive or anything making me want to practise. I am made to do songs I hate, and I just don't like being forced to do things. Before I got my teacher, I used to practise loads every night, bar by bar until I got the song perfect. I used to practise scales and everything. Before I used to spend hours on the internet and in shops looking for sheet music that I really liked (most of it was Danny Elfman and Stephen Sondheim) but now she is making me do Beethoven and Mozart and all that. I am a member of a club and we need to find a way to get more people in it. We are a little branch off club of Rotary (adult service club) and I came up with the idea of tee-shirts. The Rotarian that is our sponser told me to get prices and that this project was all mine. Well my friend is in the club with me and she wanted to go and I had no problem with this. When we got there she undermined everything I said and made me look like a fool. I was so embarred. I attend Weight Watchers. They have scientists developing their eating plans. And in the group I attend with people have noticed this also; that if they eat too little, they do not lose weight after the first week or two. Your diet is not well balanced. You do not have any protein until very late in the day. The best time to have protein is in the morning. But you really need some lean meat or an egg at lunch.

How to fix carpet that has been dug on by ferret?

We are moving from our apartment soon and would like to remedy our fuzzy carpet that has popped up by the doors as a result of our digging ferret. Is there any known way to fix this (the carpet, not the ferret)?? It is frayed (and fuzzy), like when yarn is all taken apart. Will cutting work with this? Can I pull un-frayed strands out or will it be shorter than the rest? We will be steam cleaning, but I just wonder if there is something out there that will make this less noticable. I would really appreciate any ideas or fixes that any one has used in the past. I really want/need my deposit back and have already taken steps to deter the ferret-- plastic lining is great! Is there really an escape velocity?

This has been in the back of my skull for some time, and I want some other viewpoints, because I cant tell if escape velocity is a myth or not. Entertain my paradigm; There is a universe in which there are two bodies that have m, act gravitationally on eachother, and can be tracked by speed relative to eachother. One is a planet, and the other a spaceship. It is my understanding that gravity acts across great astronomical distances, despite it's fairly weak pull. If the spaceship reaches 'escape velocity' and thrusts away from the planet, I cannot conceive a speed at which it can start that will not keep it bound by the pull of gravity, and the eventual deceleration and stop of the spaceship or mortar shell or whatever. If the two bodies are the only two in the universe, will gravity not eventually pull them back together? If this is true then there can be no escape velocity am I wrong? In our universe there are a lot of net forces pulling from all directions, plus the spaceships and probes we use have thrusters to keep them going, but a one time blast into the abyss of a dark universe would always return to it's origin, would it not? might it just orbit on the outer fringes of space? maybe I am not thinking in three dimensions but I still dont see how gravity can be avoided when you have a limited fuel source. any insights?

How can I get financed for a car if I am an independent contractor, and have poor credit, without having a co-signer? I have tried Carmax for a car that was about $20,000 and only one company would finance me if i was'nt an independent contractor and if i had a $4000 down payment.
