Are we fwb's (friends with benefits) or are we dating?

Sounds like the two of you want to date but you are a distance apart so it wouldn't be a good idea. We're you good friends for a period of time before you started hooking up? Then I would call this friends with benefits. If your first encounters were not friendship, they WERE dating and hooking up then I'd say that you aren't boyfriend and girlfriend yet but it has the potential if you were closer together.
