What serious situation was Shane talking about?

I'm not too connected with wrestling anymore but last night I happened to turn on a WWE recap show and at the start of it Shane was talking about some serious incident, presumably involving Vince or another member of the McMahon family; I didn't hear the whole of his speech. He said that they're handling it privately and that they ask the public for support in this uncertain time. Who was he speaking about and what is the problem?
