Do you actually Believe the Islanders move to Kansas City?

This is typical posturing done by owners who arent happy with their current arena. Wang simply cant make money where he is from the arena itself but make no mistake, he is making pretty good money from endorsements and TV revenue that simply cant be matched in KC. Will some team end up in KC? Probably...will it be a team from a large market with resources that cant be sustained long term in KC? Not a chance. The Pens threated the same thing, now they have cozy new confines so the gate can make them viable (it isnt the paying average Joe they are looking to entice...it is the corporate dollars from luxury boxes and lucarative new endorsements made more readily available by companies that want to attach their name to the newest lavish barn). You mention the teams that have re-located, all have one thing in common. All came from small markets where they struggled with sponsor dollars and in some cases poor (or small) arena's. Drawing a parallel to the Islanders simply wont work because they only need a new arena and are in a major market. This isnt the first team to threaten a city to get what they want and it wont be the last.
