How to get rid of fleas?

ahh its so nasty- we have a clean home and everything and today as I was applying my dogs frontline what do think I found?? FLEAS! So far I only found 7 of them but I know they could have layed their eggs on my poor doggy or even in my home! I am so disgusted and I feel so bad for my littler guy. Any ideas that worked for you guys/gals that would maybe work for me? I gave him a bath and cont' to put his frontline on him.. He is updated on all shots and everything! *I am a good mommy* and it bothers me that he has fleas!! and now it makes me even more grossed out that it could be in my home!!! HELP!!!! Thanks!
